The cost of Greed

By:Sarang
Indus International School,India

Q1)I really liked the idea of doing a peom. Sarang has used rhyming words in his poem(which I find very hard to do) so it shows us that he is open to the English language. I really find that his poem was unique in its own way and I don't think that there is anything that I dislike in his presentation.

Q2)I think that the effort that Sarang put in was really brilliant. As I mentioned before, he has used his English knowledge in a simple yet effective way which made his poem as unique as any other. I really don't know how he could have done something better in his presentation, and I think that it is very good.

Q3)The points he used were quite strong for he started his peom by telling us about the peaceful world at the begining of time. No one was at war with anyone, no one hated anyone, no one hurt anyone and no one cheated anyone. But then, when man started devising plans, his plans did involve hatred, hurting, cheating and stealing. In Sarang's view, that was how war began.

Q4)Yes, I do agree with the conclusion because, as Sarang mentioned, we are trying to make peace between each other and between ourselves. We are trying to right the wring but, unfortunatly, we are late.

Q5)The presentation talked about how man was peaceful with himself and with the others. He helped others everyday, "his heart was pure and filled with garce", "calm and kind were his ways", "taking from nature only what was in need, he didn't grab more than that, for he was not filled with greed."
Yes, the conclusion was resonable and filled with evidence for today is the evidence of Sarang's conclusion.

Q6)Yes, I would have agreed to the point of view that Sarang used because it is resonable and as I said before what is happenning today is completly supporting Sarang's conclusion.

  1. Hayam, what strikes me about Sarang's poem and your analysis was the complete agreement between your points of view. Its almost as if the poem captured your voice! What's better is the fact that you are complete strangers, living in different countries, speaking different languages-even though English may be common between you-and Yet! You are, in effect, speaking the same language with the same ideals and the same disillusionments!
Also great use of technology in that you have attached the link.
