When Aliens Invade

By: Ester

Q1) I really liked the idea of using a drawing because sometimes pictures are more effective than just plain words and it certainly is less boring because it goes to the point straight away. I also liked the way the student summurized all that was needed to say in the small paragraph on the top. I can't really think of anything that I don't like about this drawing because it all looks simply splendid.

Q2) I think that the student has really put in a lot of effort because just thinking of the idea would have taken some time. The student could have used darker colours to symbolize more hatred.

Q3) The strong points about the disscussion were the border that the student drew and the idea of the people with the ripped clothes and the people in jail.

Q4)Yes, I do agree with the conclusion because it really does show us as one of the very dangerous (probably most) creatures in this world. And believe it or not I think we are.

Q5)The contention of the presentation was the drawing of two people(resembling two sides) fighting and shooting each other. It also showed how one of the sides actually had hostages(or so I think). It also showed borders which is true because instead of building bridges between the differnert countries, we are building borders.

Q6)Yes, I would have certainly agreed with the point of view of the student because it shows very clearly our way of thinking about each other and the way wars are occurring almost all the time.

  1. Hayam, what a pleasure to read your deep and thoughtful responses. Your commentary on the visual showed an understanding of visual technique and symbolism. You are clearly progressing to a higher level of thinking. Well Done!
